Daily Travel Photo - Noumea, New Caledonai

An American WWII memorial in Noumea, New Caledonia. All over the Pacific I saw reminders of the Pacific campaign from WWII. I’ve been able to visit most of the places where major battles were fought including Papua New Guinea, Guam, Saipan, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, and Okinawa.

Daily Travel Photo - Palau

I am often asked by people what my favorite place has been. I don’t know if I really have an answer to that question, but I often say “Palau”. This is one of the many limestone rock island in the lagoon near the capital of Korror.

Dear London,

You confuse me so much. How can you give so much with one hand and then slap me in the face with the other?
